―にしては for　【前】［しばしば too, enough と共に］ …にとって(は); ［形容詞の後で］ …の割には‖初心者にしては彼女は泳ぎがうまい For a learner, she swims well./今ごろにしては(とても)暑い It's (very) hot for this time of year. 未経験にしては, 彼はかなりよくやった Considering (that) he has no experience, he did quite well.

―にしても どんな方法で行くにしても6時までにそこに着かねばならない However we (may) go, we must get there by six./そのニュースはほとんどでないにしても多くの点で正確だ The news is accurate in many, if not most, respects./いずれにしてもすぐもどってきます I will be back soon, whether or not.

にしては 〈前置詞相当〉For; considering ◆女にしては偉い　She is brave for a woman―considering her sex. ◆彼は洋行もしないにしては英語がうまい　He speaks English well for a man who has never been abroad. ◆年にしては丈夫だ　He is strong for his age―considering his age. ◆この手紙は子どもが書いたにしてはよく書いてある　The letter is well written,considering that it was done by a child. 　

にしても 〈接続詞〉Even if; though; granting; and yet ◆彼は洋行したにしても長くはいない　Even if he went abroad, he did not stay long. ◆それは本当にしても僕には関係の無いことだ　Though it may be true, it does not concern me. ◆彼は酒に酔っていたにしてもあんなことをしては言い訳が立たぬ　Granting that he was drunk, that is no excuse for his behaviour. ◆それにしてもおかしい　And yet it is strange.
